Association of the Global Peace Initiative, Switzerland
On 12 July 2012, we founded the association Global Peace Initiative Switzerland* with the aim of promoting world peace. As a means to achieve this goal, we rely on consciousness-based peace technologies that originate from the ancient Vedic tradition of India. In particular, the association promotes the training and maintenance of Vedic Pandits in India, who are experts in the application of Vedic peace technologies. The association thus contributes to the preservation of the tradition of Vedic recitations, which is recognised by UNESCO as an intangible world cultural heritage. The association is exclusively non-profit. It
does not pursue commercial purposes and does not seek to make a profit. The funds are used exclusively and irrevocably for charitable purposes. The members of the Executive Committee work on an honorary basis. In the event of dissolution of the Association, the assets of the Association shall go to a non-profit, tax-exempt Swiss institution with similar purposes. A distribution among the members is excluded. On 15 January 2013, we received the good news from the Basel tax authorities that “the association meets the requirements for tax exemption. The tax exemption is recognised for both cantonal taxes and direct federal tax.
